Exporting and Importing

Times when you might want to export and import a site

You want to move a site from one machine to another
You need to move a sites files from one volume to another on the same machine
You want to consolidate all the files of a site
You want to archive a site you are no longer working on
You want to back up a site.

Export

To export a site choose the "export site" command from the RM menu Choose a folder

Import

there are three ways to import existing material into a RingMaster site

Import site

Choose a folder containing website files, and RingMaster will create a new site based on that folder

Import a folder

When in the SiteOutline view of a RingMaster site, enter a new item in the outline to represent the folder you want to import, and choose "import folder" from the ringmaster menu

Individual files

As you add items to a site's SiteOutline view, you have the option of choosing an existing file when you initialize that item.
