A Travel Journal for New Orleans: Saturday, October 25, 1997

Friday

The hotel where I'm staying is smack in the middle of the French Quarter of New Orleans - on the corner of Bourbon and Orleans. We have a great room with a balcony that goes out right over the corner.

The day was spent at the satelite symposium that is being held in the hotel, the main convention starts Sunday at the convention center.

After the day of crazy travel I struggled through the morning talks, opting to take a nap at lunch. In the afternoon, it was other people's turn as I looked around a dark room of nodding heads.

It rained hard in the day - something I really miss living in San Diego.

Was out on Bourbon till 3 in the morning - what a partying factory this place is, sort of like Disneyland, running year round. I didn't bring the camera, but I'm sure I'll get some pictures later.

To folks who know people at this group I'm here with there are a couple other pictures on the image index page.
