This is the first posting of the rec.boats.paddle FAQ in some considerable time. Many of the sections included here are new or much-revised; as a consequence, there are probably a fair number of errors included. Also, since this FAQ is also used for the whitewater mailing list, it is unabashedly slanted toward canoeing, kayaking, and rafting.
